Les articulations métacarpophalangiennes (MCP) sont les articulations qui unissent métacarpes et phalanges.
Les trois phalanges de chaque doigt sont séparées par deux articulations, appelées articulations interphalangiennes (IP).

Cette patiente présente une polyarthrite rhumatoïde qui atteint au niveau de la main droite notamment les articulations MCP de l'index et du pouce.

Absence de sous-luxation, articulations bien axées, pas de déviation des doigts, discrète inclinaison radiale du carpe.
L'intervention consiste en une synovectomie simple.
